Money Relationship and Wealth

To many, to live well is to have wealth. So, if you want to become wealthy, you must understand the real meaning of money, or, more specifically, money relationship and wealth.
Money plays a major role in life. Whether you like it or not, life is all structured around money. Therefore, understanding your money relationship can change your life, in particular, your money investment mindset. To create wealth, you must have the right money investment mindset for making money. Life is all about choices: the choices you make and their consequences of those choices make you the kind of person you are or have become. In the same manner; the financial decisions you make also make you the type of investor you are or have become.
To create wealth, be a smart investor who makes smart investment decisions. Success in the art of money investment is based on your understanding of the values of money to you, or your money relationship -- not just the nuts and bolts of a numeric financial formula, such as knowing your assets and liabilities, or smart investment strategies. The meaning of money to you or your money relationship holds the key to your success in money investment. Understanding the real meaning of money can empower you to change your life as well as to align your finances and values, that is, connecting your financial concepts to real life.
So, what is the real meaning of money to you? What is your money relationship? In other words, what is the role of money in your life? It is important that you are honest with yourself, and that you honestly practice in your life what you really believe in.
Once you identify the meaning of money in your life, you will also be able to discern the truths from the myths about money.
Money cannot make you happy, but money can give you the financial freedom to get the things you have always wanted in your life. Again, that may or may not make you happy, but that may be a goal in your life. The truth about money is that the more money you have, the more money you will want, and there will never be an end to your want. By the same token, the more money you make in money investment, the more money you may demand from life, and the more discontent you may become. In other words, financial greed may cause you to make hasty or wrong financial decisions that jeopardize your wealth. In the pursuit of money, other more important priorities may easily become compromised because you, like everyone else, have only 24 hours a day. So, prioritize you life, not just your money investment. Conscious or unconscious comparisons of your financial status with that of others often create envy and discontentment that may lead to making reckless financial decisions. The bottom line: Set financial freedom as a goal ? but not the goal ? in your life. Research studies have shown that you may find happiness if you set goals, financial or otherwise, that are consistent with your values in life. Happiness is not about what money can do to you, but what you can do to others with your money. The values of money should be based on your own morals and life values, or else your money relationship may turn into money madness in your life, adversely affecting your financial decisions in your money investment. Beware of money madness!
Morals and life values thus play a pivotal part in defining the meaning of money to an individual. Money can give you financial freedom, which is the ability and capability to do the things you wish to do in life ? not just for yourself but for others as well. Money can be a source of self-empowerment or anguish and anxiety, depending on the meaning of money in your life. The best way to alleviate money worries or to avoid money madness is to consider other people's needs first. Remember Mother Teresa's words: "The more you give, the more you will receive." Don't just believe it; put it into practice!
What are the most important things in your life? Money should never be separated from life values. The best way is to put your money where your life values are. Money, detached from life values, may indeed be the root of all evils. Always align your finances and life values by shifting your perspectives on money. Be grateful for what you have, and not complaining of what you lack. Be generous of your time and money. Work hard at your financial goals through empowerment of knowledge to make smart financial decisions. Be confident of yourself in the face of any challenge, such as the turmoil in financial markets.
Understanding the meaning of money holds the key to being happy and living the good life. Understanding money relationship propels you to think and grow rich.
